Demineralization (DM) is a process that uses ion exchange to remove mineral salts from water. DM plants are available in two configurations: Two-Bed and Mixed-Bed units, with capacities ranging from 200 LPH to 15,000 LPH.
During demineralization, water passes through resin beds, where a chemical reaction removes ionic content, producing chemically pure water free from ionic constituents. However, the process does not eliminate electrolytes or microorganisms, which may still be present in the treated water.
DM plants are widely used to achieve high-purity water for industrial and commercial applications.
